Setting up your Vū Studio media server

Modified on Thu, Jan 16 at 7:32 PM

Welcome to the Vū Family

We are excited that you have chosen Vū for your virtual production needs and we understand that this decision was not something taken lightly.  We greatly value your patronage and our goal is to make the process of virtual production as easy as possible. Vū is your trusted partner for all things virtual production.

Getting Started

The Vū Media Server is the core of the Vū Studio platform and requires a Windows Server with our Vū Media Server software installed.

  1. If you had your Vū system installed by Vū, the Media Server was installed with your LED volume.
  2. If you received a media server device shipped from us, simply connect it to a hard wired internet connection, and connect the system to the display you wish to use.
  3. If you chose to use your own Windows device, download and install the latest version of the Vū Media Server Software from the link below and install it on the Server connected to your display

Powering on for the first time

On initial startup, you should see a screen that looks like this as the system starts up for the first time.

Once the software has finished its initial startup, you will see a QR code.

Scan the QR code to complete setup and register the device.
