Setting up your Virtual Studio media server the first time

Modified on Tue, Aug 13 at 10:31 AM

Welcome to the Vū Family

We are excited that you have chosen Vū for your virtual production needs and we understand that this decision was not something taken lightly.  We greatly value your patronage and our goal is to make the process of virtual production as easy as possible and to be your trusted partner for all things virtual production.

Getting Started

If you received a media server device shipped from us, there are 3 things you will need to begin setup.

  1. Power - A standard 110v power connection is required. The minimum setup should include a power strip or power bar with surge suppression.  The ideal setup would also include a battery backup.
  2. Network - A hard wired ethernet connection.
  3. Output - A connection via HDMI or Display Port to a large video display or LED wall (volume).

Powering on for the first time

On initial startup, you should see a screen that looks like this as the system starts up for the first time.

Once the software has finished its initial startup, you will see a QR code.

Scan the QR code to complete setup and register the device.
