We have been hard at work on some exciting changes to Virtual Studio, SceneForge and Vū OS, and those updates are headed your way! The upcoming planned maintenance window is scheduled for:
Monday Feb 19, 2024 between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm Eastern time.
Highlights of the Release Include
- Updates for stability and connectivity
- SceneForge license management admin utility for multi user sites
- Global search
- Favorites
- Microsoft SSO login option
- User management through wall sessions
There should be no interruption in service. The only thing you should notice after the update is that systems installed locally, i.e. Vū OS and SceneForge, should automatically detect that an update is available and prompt to install it. At that point, the update can be installed immediately or deferred to be installed at a later time.
Manual Update May be Required in some cases: In some rare instances, depending on the version being updated, some users have experienced a connection issue when trying to update to the latest version. If you experience an issue when starting or updating SceneForge or Vū OS, you may need to download and install the updates manually.

***IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT UPDATING VU OS***
If you are currently using Vū OS software that ends in a "D" or "S", you are using the Development or Staging environment on our network. Starting on Monday February 16th, you will be switched over to the Production environment to be assured you are on the most current stable version. To make the switch, you will need to update your Vū OS software using the manual method outlined above. This process will require you to move your media assets to your production account. This will require you to download and/or copy your media assets from your Staging or Dev Virtual Studio Library to another location, then re-upload them into the Production version. The easiest way to copy these assets is to do so through a desktop computer web browser using the Web App version of Virtual Studio.
To do this, log into the Dev or Staging site where your media is stored using a browser on any computer (https://dev-one.vu.studio/ for Dev or https://staging-one.vu.studio/ for Staging). Once you have downloaded your media assets, log into the Production Virtual Studio site at https://one.vu.studio and upload them there.
