Dear Vū User,
We have been hard at work on some exciting changes to Virtual Studio, SceneForge and Vū OS, and those updates are headed your way!
The upcoming planned maintenance window is scheduled for the morning of June 25, 2024.
There should be no interruption in service. The only thing you should notice is that systems installed locally, i.e., VūOS and SceneForge, should automatically detect that an update is available and prompt to install it. At that point, the update can be installed immediately or deferred to be installed later.
Highlights of the Release Include
- SceneForge:
- VūOS
- Added Tab Navigation to Operator Menu
- Speed improvements for 3D and 360 Player Modes
- Blur scale is now based on media resolution for mathematic gaussian blur in 2D mode.
- Improvements to media caching logic
- Improved error handling for downloading and renaming content
- Improvements to display scaling
- Now reading extensions by type property for stability.
- Redesigned Operator Menu
- Fixed NDI x Video Conflicts
- Fixed issue where on-wall UI wouldn't play media immediately
- Fixed issue where 360 media wouldn't display properly (white or black screen)
- Updated server to improve startup experience
- Improved error handling for admin check
***IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT VūOS***
If you are currently using a VūOS version that ends in something other than “-P”, you need to update to the Production version. All customers are encouraged to use the Production version to be assured they are using the most current stable version. To make the switch, you will need to update your VūOS software using our manual update method.
If you run into any issues or have any questions, now or in the future, please contact us for help.
