Dear Vū User,
We have been hard at work on some exciting changes to Virtual Studio, SceneForge and Vū OS, and those updates are headed your way!
The upcoming planned maintenance window is scheduled for the morning of May 30, 2024.
There should be no interruption in service. The only thing you should notice is that systems installed locally, i.e., VūOS and SceneForge, should automatically detect that an update is available and prompt to install it. At that point, the update can be installed immediately or deferred to be installed later.
Highlights of the Release Include
- SceneForge:
- Now all imported files will be copied to the correct folder within the project - No more missing files when importing from downloads or desktop!
- You can now pan 360 degrees regardless of the camera rig type
- Added a nice car to the optional example assets
- Improvements to the camera system when controlling rigs in Shoot Mode
- Fixes to Sketchfab importer
- Other small defect corrections.
- VūOS
- Admin QR code no longer appears briefly if the system is already registered.
- Fixed issue where OS would timeout of media for no reason.
- Improvements to the camera positioning and camera tracking system.
- Updated endpoint for caching multiple assets.
- Added touchscreen support.
- Other small defect corrections.
***IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT VūOS***
If you are currently using a VūOS version that ends in something other than “-P”, you need to update to the Production version. All customers are encouraged to use the Production version to be assured they are using the most current stable version. To make the switch, you will need to update your VūOS software using our manual update method.
