Overview
Folder sharing in Virtual Studio helps you organize and collaborate on media assets seamlessly. This feature enables users to create personal folders for easy content management, share selected assets with team members or clients, and manage permissions for collaborative access.
Getting Started
1. Creating Personal Folders
To begin organizing your media assets:
- Navigate to the Library section of Virtual Studio.
- Click on the New Folder button.
- Enter a descriptive name for your folder and confirm.
2. Selecting and Sharing Assets
Once you have created your folders:
- Browse through media assets in the Library and add them to folders or upload your own assets to your folders.
- Select a folder to share and either right click on it to select Sharing, or click on the folder to open it and then select the Sharing icon from the top right from within the folder.
- Enter the email addresses of the users you want to share the folder with along with an optional message.
- Select whether you want the users to have View or Edit access to the folder
- Click Share to share the folder with the users you entered.
3. Managing Permissions
- As an admin or folder owner, you have the ability to manage user permissions:
- Go to the folder settings by right-clicking on the folder in your Library and selecting Sharing or opening the folder and selecting the Sharing button.
- Add or remove users and set their access rights (e.g., view, edit, or revoke).
Tips for Effective Folder Sharing
Use clear naming conventions for folders to make navigation easier.
Regularly review user access to ensure proper collaborations and data security.
